FAQ

At The Chalk Bloc, we want to help find answers to questions.  While we would love to be able to answer all the why questions in the world, we think it is best to stick to what we know best: Chalk from The Chalk Bloc. Here are some common questions we get.

Is our chalk safe for children to use?

Absolutely! It is always best to have an adult present when littles are creating their masterpieces - especially if they are outside.

Our chalk does look pretty cool but it is not part of any food group. The Chalk Bloc chalk is not toxic but it is best to keep it out of your mouth. Our chalk is also free of the top 9 food allergens.

How do we make chalk?

It would be super fun to nerd out right now and tell everything we know about making chalk but our advisors say that is not a good idea.

So here is their suggested answer:

The Chalk Bloc has refined a recipe that is a proprietary blend of ingredients and mixing methods that are done in small batches. But because we just love chalk so much here is a little glimpse of  how we pour, pop, and package!

Why Chalk?

Chalk has been used forever to help people express their ideas, share their experiences and encourage creativity. It has been a source of joyful, interactive play through the generations and we want to combine that play with stories that teach life lessons.  The Chalk Bloc exists to spread joy, encourage creativity and give back to make a difference in communities.
